Heres some pictures of my bike arriving at R.C.C. I paid G.W. Cycle here in Calgary to crate my bike and prep it for shipping across Canada. The cost was 200.00 or 2 hours shop time, which I would have happily paid. They claim no responsibility and suggest shipping abuse. Pay close attention to the area of damage and its position in relation to the crate tubing. Seems to me the tech crating the bike should have been aware of the limited space between the fairing and the bars when it was strapped securly unto the crate. Beware this is not thier first issue crating bikes other people I've spoken with have mentioned issues. Decide for yourself and post your thoughts.

Absolutely the wrong kind of crate to be strapping a 'Busa into. I believe that crate is for a Goldwing GL1800. The 'tech' strapping that into the crate should have seen the limited clearance. The crates that new Busa's come in, don't have those deep bars along the insides, thats the big problem there.
Probably not a 'tech', but a rookie warehouse kid that strapped that thing in.
Crappy deal! |

If you can believe this Trudy at G.W. told me she had her senior tech (10 years) in the business crate it. They charged me two hours shop time for that mess almost 200.00. When I went in there today to show here and the owner pictures of the damage she basically kicked me out of the store and said they were not responsible and thats that. You would think with the economy today customer service would be a priority. There is not as much easy money in these parts as there was a couple years ago.

Sorry to see that. That is a rookie mistake to say the least. G.W. fuckin' sucks plain and simple! That fairing must have been touching when they put the bike on there, let alone after they strapped it down. Friggin' idiots. I say you go back there and make a huge stink right in the middle of the store! _________________ www.ebspeed.com |

Man I was there yesterday to help Rob Astin pick up his bike. Brought pictures to show the management the condition of the bike and they basically told me to bad for you, if you were'nt prepared for that you shouldn't have had us crate it you should have done it yourself. PROFESSIONALISM AT ITS BEST " ALWAYS SOMEONE ELSES FAULT" It goes without saying I'll never go there again. My business there is because of my continued relationship with a dealership in Ontario where they treat every customer like a family member. To bad its not that way everywhere.

That is mind boggling...coming from someone who works in a dealership and has both uncrated and crated new bikes for VERY picky customers worldwide, there's no way that shit would fly. My boss stands behind us 99% of the time but in that situation my ass would be in a massive sling and I'd be shot..
Man, can you imagine the shitstorm I'd be in if I did that to a 1098R going cross country? I'm blown away by the way it's been handled...wow. _________________ If I have to explain, you won't understand. |
